Jon Lefler

My wife, Cathy, and I moved to Redding from Southern California in 1972 so that I could teach Chemistry at Enterprise High School.  We joined First Church during the following year.  Our family, including sons Alan and Scott, grew up in this church.

Within First Church, I have served in various capacities among which are Sunday School teacher, member of the Staff-Parish Committee, Board of Trustees and Stewardship Committee.  Since retiring in 2006, I have traveled extensively with Cathy, played some golf, backpacked every summer, enjoyed having Cathy teach me to find my way around the kitchen, and have done a little bit of woodworking.  

As well as our two sons, noted above, Cathy and I also have two granddaughters, each of whom we thoroughly love and enjoy.

As the Worship Leader for 11:00 a.m., I am anxious to see 2012 unfold and hope that I can do half as well as my predecessor.
