"Seeing Within" by Leah Harper

The Arts Commission is happy to present an exhibit in our sanctuary and lobby, titled "Seeing Within" by the artist Leah Harper. Leah will be giving a lecture that is open to the public at 7:00pm on Friday February 24, 2012.

The exhibit of drawings are her visions of what she saw in the rocks she has displayed in our sanctuary and in the glass case in our lobby.  Leah wants you to enjoy looking at the rocks to see if you see what she saw.  You may see something different and that is wonderful.  Ms. Harper was the Artist-in-Residence at Whiskeytown National Park last summer and this is the first showing of the art she created there.  A copy of her biography is available in our Welcome Center.  Ms. Harper's exhibit at First Church was part of the Cultural Cruise and we had over 200 people come through our church to view it.  We are honored to display the beautiful work of such a talented and spiritual artist.
