Bill Youngs ~ Love First Moment

I’m Bill Youngs and I am Love First.

Diane and I came to First Church in late 2002 and liked

what we saw in this congregation and it’s commitment to the church family and the surrounding community. We could feel the love and caring. We have been very happy with our choice to join the First Church family. I have become actively involved in many aspects of the life of this family. As your member to Annual Conference, I attended Conference two years in Sacramento. Last year I brought to you, at a meeting between services, the issues that had an effect on this church family. This year there is no business that needs to be brought before you. However, the inspirational Speaker, Adam Hamilton, talked about his vision for churches today. Adam is the senior pastor of the 17,000 member United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. His vision is how we, as local churches, can bring God’s love to the unchurched. Now I don’t think we could fit 17,000 people here in this facility, but, we can certainly squeeze in several more family members who could find God’s love through us. So, stay tuned as we bring this new vision to you through the coming months.
