Cypress Tutors

We support the developement of school systems and innovative methods of education designed to assist every child toward complete fulfillment as an individual person of worth.
 
For approximately fourteen years Church and Society has recruited an average of twelve reading tutors to help in our neighborhood elementary school, Cypress.  These tutors go into the classroom for an hour a week (some more) to allow for one on one reading with children in grades K-5th grade. If you are interested in working with this program for one hour each week, please contact Mary Burns at churchsociety@reddingumc.org

We also have a program to support the arts in schools and this is provided by our church's  Fine Arts Commission.
