Homeless Connection

Creating the personal, environmental and social condition in which healh can thrive is a joint responsibility – public and private.

The Homeless Connection is an all day event provided by Shasta Community Health Center. They provide services, as diverse as haircuts, help with paperwork, job search, clothing and much more for the homeless. The event takes place at the Civic Auditorium. Church & Society gathered new and used knapsacks and new sleeping bags to be given away to those in need. We hope to take a more active part in the future. This is a May event.

We have also helped the Shasta Community Health Center by giving a portion of our Christmas offering to their Hope Van, which travels locally to provide medical services to our homeless.
