Friendly Visitors

First Church is an open, caring congregation.  As an extension of that spirit, a group of thoughtful and empathetic people have come together to keep in contact with our members who can no longer be active in the Church.  Friendly Visitors serves members who are still able to be in their homes, and others who are in care facilities, hospitals, rehab centers and retirement homes.  Some have long-term situations while others have temporary issues.  Most  have worked diligently and devotedly in years past.

A visit, telephone call, or thoughtful note keeps these members connected to the active life of First Church.  Flowers are sometimes an added touch on specific occasions. In times of crisis, Friendly Visitors offer prayers, loving arms and support as a reflection of God's love and hope.

Friendly Visitors meets every other month to confer on the status of each shut-in. We meet at 2:00 in room 10. Please join us!
