Nancy Bray

Nancy moved to Redding in 1957 when she was in the seventh grade and attended MYF at First Church. She was confirmed at First Church and married Rob in 1965 in our sanctuary. They moved away while Nancy attended Foothill Community College in Los Altos Hills, CA to become a registered dental hygienist. They then moved to Alaska and lived there for 7 years. Nancy and Rod moved back to Redding in 1970 and have been members of First Church for 42 years. Nancy has three sons, of whom two are twins, three granddaughters and one grandson. Nancy currently works three and a half days a week for Dr. John Nall, where she has been for the past 15 years. At First Church Nancy has been: a youth group leader, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, Disciple facilitator, Camp McCumber retreat coordinator, and Administrative Board Chair. Nancy currently: chairs the Air Conditioning Ad Hoc committee, assists Peggy Rebol with Stephens Ministry Training, and we are happy to say, Nancy is again our Lay Leader at the 9:00 o’clock service. Nancy is also Chairperson of Partners Helping Families, Inc. Nancy says she is never (bored) and she is richly blessed by God and grateful to be here at First Church.
