Rajiv Pathik– Interim Pastor
Pastor Rajiv was born and raised in India where he felt God’s call on his life to the ministry. He worked among the youth in India for more than ten years and went on to study at South India Biblical Seminary where he earned his Bachelor of Theology. From there he journeyed to South Korea where he earned a Master of Theology, Master in Missions, and a Master in Public Administration. During his time there, Rajiv also planted a church for International Students—which is doing wonderful ministry even to this day. Rajiv moved to The U.S. in 2004 with his wife Anna Nikitina to attend Fuller Theological Seminary, where he earned a Masters in Divinity in 2007 and joined The United Methodist Church. For the past 5 years, Rajiv has served in Fall River Mills UMC, Shasta Lake UMC, as well as Redding First as an associate pastor. Now he is serving as senior pastor at Redding First. Rajiv likes to see people coming to Christ and find a meaningful relationship with their God. He likes to help families and individuals through pastoral care and counseling, and is always open to have conversations with church family and people outside of the church who might be interested in finding their way back to Church and to God. Rajiv lives in Redding with his wife, and his two daughters Eva and Sonia.

Summer Music Intern– William Moon
This summer we have a unique opportunity to have William Moon join our Worship Music Teams as a Summer Music Intern. William grew up in this church and played in our bands while he was in high school. William just completed his first year at UC Berkeley where he is double majoring in pre-med and music. William is home for the summer and we have put together an internship opportunity that will benefit our music program as well as give William the opportunity to gain valuable experience leading musicians. He will work alongside both Kay and Peggy and will be involved in every aspect of the process of picking music, working on arrangements, rehearsals, coordinating with Staff, and participating in worship. We are very excited about this opportunity to have William share his musical talents and gifts with us. He brings a wide ranging musical background to the table including arranging and improvisation as well as experiences in many different settings. Many of you may remember his directorial debut putting together and directing the Nicaragua Concert a couple of years ago. Summer offers us an opportunity to do some exploring and we have encouraged William to be creative so we hope you are ready to engage in experiential worship! He will be also be working with Peggy on a community music event (“Summer of Love #50”) in late July or early August. Please extend a HUGE welcome to William when you see him!
