Winter Retreat 2019

Saturday March 9th – Sunday March 10th

List of items to bring:

MEET AT CHURCH at 8:45am on Saturday March 9th

Gloves for snow

Clothes to wear in the snow:  Warm jacket that is waterproof, snow pants or a water repellent shell to go over jeans, good warm socks, layered shirt/sweatshirt, hat,

Shoes for snow (NOT tennis shoes!!) AND shoes for inside the Lodge

Sleeping bag and Pillow – if you get cold easily bring a blanket to go over your sleeping bag.

Flashlight

Sleeping clothes including socks!

Toiletries:  toothpaste, toothpaste, wash cloth, towel, anything else you need!

**Please bring a snack to SHARE with the group and a SACK LUNCH for Saturday

**GREAT ATTITUDE IS ESSENTIAL for playing, thinking, connecting with others

**We will be back on Sunday March 10th between 1 and 1:30pm

Winter Retreat Itinerary:

SATURDAY: 

Meet at the Church at 8:45am with all your gear!

Arrive at Shasta Camp by 10:30am

Get unpacked and settled

Snow shoe Adventure: Exploring our surroundings

Sack Lunches in the wild

Retreat Session #1

Snowshoe Hike (place to be determined)

Chill Time/Prep for Bonfire and After Dinner Games

Dinner:  be prepared to help cook/clean-up:  Pasta, bread, salad

Activity/Game

Snack time: Nachos and Hot Cocoa

Bonfire and Retreat Session #2

Get ready for bed/Lights out

SUNDAY:

Breakfast- be prepared to help cook/clean-up:  Pancakes

Outside Adventure: Snowshoe hike and sledding fun

Pack and clean

Lunch – Leave for home by Noon

Back at Church between 1 and 1:30pm
